About Me

My name is Max Reinhold Jahnke. I am originally from São Paulo, Brazil, and currently I live in Cologne, Germany. I work as a postdoctoral researcher at Universität zu Köln. My research field lies in the intersection between Partial Differential Equations, Several Complex Variables, and Differential Geometry.

The general objective of my research is to understand local and global solvability for certain partial differential equations arising in the context of Involutive Structures, and I have a growing interest in the special cases of complex and CR structures. The focus of my research is understanding how the algebraic properties of Invariant Involutive Structures on compact Lie groups are related to global solvability.

I am the husband of Adèle Helena Ribeiro, a professor at the RWTH Aachen University doing research in Causal Inference, Explainable AI and its applications to Life Sciences.

When I am not doing research, I like to learn about languages, different cultures, science, and technology. My hobbies are cycling, playing video-games and lately, playing guitar.
